Las rutas de Julia de Burgos presents the personal struggles and poetic genius of Puerto Rican writer Julia de Burgos. The play focuses on her passions, for language, for political justice, for a man. Julia’s journeys, from home to exile, back home in death, are framed by the political turmoil of the period. In celebration of the Julia de Burgos centennial, 2014, the play was presented at the Studio Theater, Lehman College, by IATI Theater and the Office of the Provost, Lehman College.
